A different season is here. For me, this means a change in the weather, a change in spirit and changes in our life. This time of year is our favorite in the Bradford house. I'm in love with everything about Christmas, but mostly that it seems to lift everyone's spirits and gives all of these precious kiddos things to look forward to. The story-telling mode that we get to switch on is more fun than I ever dreamed it would be before the kids were born. Being able to tell stories of Santa, his elves, his reindeer and the North Pole truly are spectacular.
After months of enduring the sweltering Georgia heat and humidity, a change in weather is much welcomed. No more wasps, yellow jackets and mosquitos- thank you Jesus! The cooler weather is the welcome call for Christmas time. A change in spirit comes with the classic Christmas tunes blaring over the store intercoms and picking out a new, special ornament for the tree, while making plans to spend time with your family over the holiday break. Also, who doesn't love making a gingerbread house or driving through Christmas lights this time of year? This time of year always seem to bring change in our lives. We begin to reflect over the past year- the highs, the lows and what we wish for the year to come. Something about ending a year and starting a new one always strikes me as magical. We are able to make goals for ourselves and plan for the future- Brandon and I love to envision plans for the boys in the years to come and plans for him and I once they are older. I sure do feel grateful for so many blessings in my life and hope to always bring a positive light to those around me. For this coming Christmas, I hope to spread much love over my family and make memories with them that will last a lifetime- just like my parents did for my brother and me. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and may you enjoy this different season as much as I do. XOXO

Yea, I know... summer has been over for a while, but I was reminded of the fun memories made while listening to my beach playlist the other day. It was the first full summer of me having the 3 boys all to myself and we had a blast. I'm not going to lie and say it was roses and sunsets every day, but we did make the most of it and I learned so many things about myself in the process.
As a lover of music, I'm always looking for new songs to add to my collection and thought that I would share some from my favorite playlist. Enjoy :) When I See This Bar - Kenny Chesney Rich Girl - Daryl Hall & John Oates Run-Around - Blues Traveler Ants Marching - Dave Matthews Band Got To Give It Up - Marvin Gaye Escape (The Pina Colada Song) - Rupert Holmes Coconut - Harry Nilsson Is This Love - Bob Marley The Joker - Steve Miller Band In The Gallery - Dire Straits Jolly Mon Sing - Jimmy Buffett Vacation - Thomas Rhett Life's Been Good - Joe Walsh Island Song - Zac Brown Band Summer Of '69 - Bryan Adams Summer Breeze - Seals and Crofts Drink In My Hand - Eric Church Brandy - Looking Glass Roller Coaster - Luke Bryan Get Up, Stand Up - The Wailers See you next year, summer <3 <3 <3 |
